Dear Summer, Be With Me Now

Be With Me Now

I cannot wait for summer!! The ice cream, the hours spent at the pool, the fact that my hair gets lighter from the sun, and just hanging out with friends. The rainy weather doesn't help much either, but that doesn't mean I can't start planning my outfits! I've steadily been sneaking shorts and tank tops into my closet, and I'm patiently awaiting the arrival of sandals. So while I'm on my way, I wanted to share with you all a little glimpse of summer with a Polyvore set! How cute is that swimsuit? Gotta love stripes. What's your go-to summer outfit?

Lean Into The Fall

In the letter from my lacrosse big sister, she ended the second paragraph by telling me to remember to try to go with the flow. I stared at those words and tried to absorb them, but I realized that I barely even knew what the flow was or how I could find it to even follow it. The past few weeks haven't been the brightest, especially with the passing of my grandmother which has really left me uneasy to say the least.

I've tried to pick back up where I was with whatever I did before, but it's just so much harder than I thought it would be. Add on pressures on the field and in school, and I'm just ready to crawl into bed forever and hide.

So maybe the flow will find me, or I'll find it. But I know that somehow and someday, it'll all just fall back into place and I'll be back to my correct pace.

Staying Creative

I'm someone who loves to be out and about doing something. Of course, I don't mind just sitting on the couch some days and ignoring my textbooks, but usually I'd like to be outside doing something. So, here are a few ways and things that keep my creative juices flowing! On days when my mind is blank, I turn to most of these to get back what I've lost and drum up some new ideas.
Staying Creative

Polyvore is probably one of my favorite websites ever! There's always some new clothes to look at, some new pictures to use, and some new colors to be found. Whats better than that?! I've been using Polyvore since I was 9 (and I'm almost 16 now), so it will always have a huge part in my heart. Tumblr is also amazing for inspiration, especially with all the pictures around! The Sartorialist is perfect for outfit inspiration, especially for things I'd want to add to my dream closet!

I'm a huge fan of Teen Vogue, especially their editorials! The ones in the newest issue are absolutely gorgeous. Seventeen is my go-to magazine when I'm not in a fashion only mood, and there's always interesting articles to be read. Lula is a new one I'm starting to get into, and there's always gorgeous images to be found.

I've begun to take note from my dad, and I'm really getting into drawing! After dinner, my whole family usually sits together in the living room, and my dad and I bring out the art stuff and just sit there drawing. It's so relaxing, and I love the idea of taking something plain and putting onto it whatever my little heart desires. Taking pictures is also something I'm into now, and I know it might not really count but I love using Instagram! It's such an awesome app, but I've also snuck a few clicks on my sister's Nikon. So, what do you do to stay creative?
